[ FlutterFlow → App Store ]

How to publish a FlutterFlow app to the App Store

Short answer

FlutterFlow can deploy straight to App Store Connect. Once your Apple account is connected, its one-click deploy builds and uploads the app. A successful deploy only means Apple received the build. The classic FlutterFlow rejection is a crash on launch, usually from Firebase configuration that works in test mode but not in the release build. After that, it’s the same review issues as any other app.

What FlutterFlow handles

FlutterFlow generates a Flutter app, which compiles to a native binary. With your Apple Developer account connected, it can build and upload to App Store Connect in one step, and the build shows up in TestFlight.

What’s still on you

  • The App Store Connect listing: screenshots, description, privacy answers, age rating, support URL.
  • Review information: a working demo account and notes.
  • A build that doesn’t crash on a clean device with production configuration.
  • Policy compliance: account deletion, Sign in with Apple if you use Google, IAP for digital purchases.

The rejections FlutterFlow apps hit most

Debugging a crash on launch

  1. In App Store Connect, open the rejection and download the crash log if Apple attached one.
  2. Install the exact TestFlight build on a real device and open it signed out.
  3. Check the crash in Xcode’s Organizer, or connect the device and read the console.
  4. Verify GoogleService-Info.plist for the shipping bundle ID, and that every Firebase service you call is enabled.
  5. Check Info.plist permission strings for every permission a package requests. A missing one crashes the app the moment it asks.

Questions

The deploy succeeded but Apple says the app crashes on launch.
Check that the iOS Firebase config (GoogleService-Info.plist) matches the bundle ID you’re shipping, that your Firebase project allows that iOS app, and that any custom code or packages initialise safely. Install the TestFlight build on a real device to reproduce it.
Apple rejected my icon.
The 1024×1024 App Store icon can’t have transparency. Export it as a flat image with no alpha channel.
Should I download the code and deploy manually?
If one-click deploy keeps failing, or you need native changes FlutterFlow can’t express, yes. Download the Flutter project, open the iOS runner in Xcode and archive from there.
